The Native Ways student club at Northwest College will be hosting its annual Buffalo Feast on Thursday, November 17 at 6 p.m. in the Yellowstone Building Conference Center. The feast includes smoked bison brisket, roasted red potatoes, seasonal roasted vegetables, roasted beet salad with goat cheese mousse, Three Sisters Soup, Bannock bread and berry soup.

This year’s performer is Christian Wallowing Bull, an Indigenous singer-songwriter from Wind River Reservation. As a member of the Northern Arapaho Tribe, he uses his heart as a storyteller to “represent his own indigenous roots and to bridge perspective and healing to the lives of those indigenous as well as non-indigenous.” He is the 2021 winner of the Wyoming Singer-Songwriter’s competition in Ten Sleep. For more information on Christian Wallowing Bull, visit christianwallowingbull.com/home.

Tickets for the event are $25 for the general public, $10 for children 12 and under, and $10 for NWC students. Tickets may be purchased online at nwcollegefoundation.org/buffalo-feast. Those who wish to attend are encouraged to reserve tickets no later than Friday, November 11. Payments may also be made by sending a check or cash to the Northwest College Foundation at 231 West 6th Street, Powell, WY 82435, or by stopping by the Orendorff Building, Room 144.

The Native Ways Club is also pleased to announce that a portion of this year’s event proceeds will be allocated to the Native Ways Scholarship Fund.
