Financial Aid & Scholarships
Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
FAFSA stands for Free Application for Federal Student Aid. It is the starting point for nearly all financial aid. Your FAFSA determines your eligibility for Pell Grants and other federal grants, as well as the amounts. The FAFSA is not a federal loan application (it's for determining financial need and is an important step in you ultimately receiving aid). Reminder: the FAFSA must be completed every year.
Complete the FAFSA:
- Start here on filling out the FAFSA form (on studentaid.gov).
- Northwest College's Title IV Code is 003931
- Make sure you know what happens after you submit your FAFSA form
Important: If you have questions, ask the Northwest College Financial Aid Office. For accuracy, do not solely rely on the answers of family and friends.
Priority Deadlines
- March 1 for fall semester
- October 1 for spring semester
You improve your chances of receiving financial aid and scholarships by submitting all your paperwork before the priority deadline. Start early!
