Trappers place six in Laramie
The Northwest College Trappers had a strong showing on Saturday at the Cowboy Open on the University of Wyoming campus in Laramie. Casey Scheidt (133), Nathan Garcia (149) and Jaksen Cotterell (165) all advanced to championship matches.

Push for Gold
On Friday, September 23rd, 2011, current team members will honor the champions of our past, present, and future by demonstrating their commitment to hard work. These young men will push a full sized motor vehicle for a distance of 10 miles. The “Push for Gold” is part of our preseason training and will serve as our signature fundraising event for 2011-12!

After watching three of his wrestlers compete for national titles this past winter, Northwest College wrestling coach Jim Zeigler isn’t having any trouble finding folks willing to step onto the mat in Powell.

Trappers prepare for nationals
For the seven national tournament qualifiers from the Northwest College wrestling team, the brackets have been set. Competitors now know the identity of their first-round opponents and can begin to scout a possible path through the brackets.

All eyes on Spokane
Northwest College will take center stage this Saturday as the Trappers open their doors to host the 2011 NJCAA West Central wrestling championship tournament. Action begins at 10 a.m. in Hank Cabre Gymnasium with the preliminary round of eight.
