The Dee Havig Disc Golf Course opened in May of 2021 as the first public disc golf course in Park County and is named for longtime administrator Dee Havig, who served Northwest College for 36 years before his retirement in 2024.
Havig wore many hats during his time at NWC, including Resident Director, assistant women’s basketball coach, Director of Housing and Student Activities, Director of Residence and Campus Life, Title IX Coordinator, Interim Dean of Students, and Interim Vice President for Student Services. He also spent time as an adjunct faculty member. A tremendous supporter of NWC and its students, Havig is frequently seen at college events or supporting Trapper Athletic teams. He has also been a generous donor to scholarships, campaigns and programs.
