Two Northwest College wrestlers finished first to lead the Trappers last weekend in the Northwest Open in Powell.
In the 133 weight class, NWC’s Nodir Safarov won by major decision (14-5) against Ricky Navarrete of Western Wyoming College.
At 285, Trapper Lisiate “Richard” Anau won by major decision (11-0) over Solomon Smith of the University of Providence.
Northwest College’s Chayce Loveless finished third at 184 with a fall against Alex Quick of the University of Providence at 2:40.
The Trappers return to the mats Friday at Western Wyoming Community College in Rock Springs.
