Hali Henwood, a two-year member of the Northwest College women’s soccer program and a 2012 member of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America’s College Scholar All-American team, has signed a national letter of intent to continue her playing career at Wayne State College in Nebraska.
Henwood joins a Wildcats squad that competes at the NCAA Division II level in the Northern Sun Conference. The Wildcats were 3-14-1 as a team this past season.
Henwood, originally from Douglas, was a mainstay defensively for the Trappers for the past two seasons. While serving as part of the team’s back line, Henwood was part of a defensive unit that surrendered just 45 goals, fewer than 1.3 per contest, over the course of a 35- game career.
After starting 15 games as a freshman, Henwood was named a first-team all-Region IX defender.
