After winning an overtime thriller in its regular season finale, the Northwest College women’s basketball could not orchestrate more magic in its Region IX playoff play-in game, falling 81-39 to Casper College on Saturday.
Kaylee Brown led the Lady Trappers with nine points while Mikkel McIntosh contributed six points and four rebounds. McIntosh was a perfect 4-4 from the free throw line.
Northwest only made a trio of three-pointers and 20 percent of its shots. Casper (25-6) shot a sparkling 54 percent from the field.
The Lady Trappers pulled out a hard fought 86-82 overtime win over Western Wyoming on Feb. 23 in its last regular season game. After giving up a third quarter lead which sent the game into overtime, the Lady Trappers bounced back in the extra session for the win.
Selena Cudney led the team with 25 points and nine rebounds while Berkley Larsen chipped in 13 points and six rebounds.
Northwest finished the season 4-26 but won two of its last four regular season games.
