The Northwest College volleyball team will host a preseason scrimmage against Sheridan College on Saturday at 1 p.m. in Cabre Gymnasium. The event will provide the public with an opportunity to get their first sneak peek at the 2012 Trapper volleyball team.
According to NWC head volleyball coach Shaun Pohlman, the day will start with some wash games and drills before transitioning to traditional scrimmage play. This will be fans’ only opportunity to watch the Trappers play in Powell prior to the start of the regular season.
Northwest College opens play the weekend of Aug. 24-25 at the College of Southern Idaho. The Trappers will play four games in two days in Twin Falls, Idaho, to begin their year. The team’s first home action of 2012 will come Aug. 28 when Northwest College hosts the Rocky Mountain College JV squad.
The Trappers will serve as the host school for the Region IX North tournament in late October.
