After seven successful seasons at Northwest College, head volleyball coach Shaun Pohlman is leaving for a head coaching position at Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston, Idaho.
The four-year school competes in the NAIA’s Frontier Conference.
“Northwest has given me an opportunity to advance my career in a large way, and for that I will forever be grateful,” Pohlman said Wednesday. “I have been fortunate to be a part of historic success during my time and to know that will be represented through the banners and plaques we have hung in Cabre [Gym].”
Pohlman also said that “there are way too many people to thank and saying goodbye is difficult, but it’s time for me and my family to move onto another chapter in our lives.”
He wished NWC and its athletic programs the best.
“I am hopeful Trapper Athletics and Trapper Volleyball will find continued success amidst the current budgetary challenges that Northwest College faces,” Pohlman said.
More details will follow in next week’s issue of the Tribune.
