The Northwest College volleyball team celebrated both team and individual achievements over the weekend.
The Trappers clinched the No. 1 seed in the Region IX Tournament with their 14th and 15th straight victories, and are the 2015 Wyoming Community College Athletic Conference champions.
A 3-0 win against Western Wyoming and a 3-1 win versus Central kept the Trappers a perfect 10-0 in Region IX and earned them a first-round bye in the region tournament (Nov. 4-7).
The Trappers will play their first region tourney match on Friday, Nov. 5, in Rock Springs.
Sophomore outside hitter Aleksandra Djordjevic scored the 1,000th kill of her collegiate career during Saturday’s match. The 2014 All-American also has 709 digs, 120 aces and 1,182.5 points with three regular season matches left to play.
