Unique Recruits Join Northwest College Volleyball Team In 2023
Three diverse sophomore recruits who were already in Powell — including Michelyn “Mikey” Pilia’au, DanniKa “Danny” Barfuss and Kamryn Jenkins — will be joining the Northwest College volleyball team this season along with 10 freshmen recruits. The three are hoping to bring lessons from their nontraditional paths to the team to help a young squad in the fall.

A strong, small core of players is set to return to the court for the Northwest College volleyball team this fall — returning four players from a team that finished 20-12 last season.

Northwest College hosted its Trapper Athletic Awards Ceremony on May 2, honoring the various programs at Northwest after a successful year.

Pannell Earns All-Region Honors
After two successful seasons at Snow College in Utah in which her team reached the national tournament, Megan Pannell made the decision to reach out to Trapper coach Scott Keister to try and transfer and play at Northwest for her extra Covid year.

Volleyball Finishes 0-2 At Region IX Tourney
Months of hard work came down to a few points, with the Northwest Trapper volleyball team coming up short in two close matches at the Region IX tournament in Casper. They lost to Northeastern 3-1 on Wednesday and Otero 3-2 on Thursday.
