Winning student writers announced

The Writing in the Academic World (WAW) Committee announced today the students whose academic writing received awards for the 2009-10 school year. 

“The WAW competition received a good number of strong papers this year,” WAW chair Anne Toner said, “and we would like to congratulate the students who earned awards and thank the faculty for encouraging their students to submit their work.”

The contest is open to writing from across the academic disciplines, with the exclusion of creative writing.

The 2009-10 award winners and their placings are:

  1. Rome's First Citizen” by Celia Bannan of Cody
  2. Nurse's Experience of Drug Administration Errors” by Jeri Steward of Ralston
  3. The Secret Life of Fleas” by Jeanette Manyhorses of Basin
  4. 5000 Years of Tattoo” by Celia Bannan of Cody
  5. Religion and Pop Culture” by Kimberly Kost of Greybull/Powell.
