In an exhibit titled “Unseen Visions,” the Northwest College Photographic Communications faculty will showcase recent photographic work at Plaza Diane in downtown Powell Thursday, Sept. 5.
The opening reception gets underway at 7 p.m. Light refreshments will be served, and admission is free and open to the public.
“Unseen Visions” features the work of Christine Garceau, Anthony Polvere, Jennifer Litterer-Treviño and Jayne Johnson.
Garceau received both her bachelor’s and master’s in photography from Northern Michigan University. In addition, she earned her doctorate in Rhetoric and Technical Communication from Michigan Technological University. She offers expertise in photojournalism, digital imaging, large format photography, video production and editing, and commercial portraiture.
Polvere earned his bachelor’s in marketing and bachelor’s in social science from Pace University. In addition, he earned a bachelor’s in journalism, as well as a master’s in educational leadership from Northern Arizona University. He offers expertise in photojournalism, digital imaging, large format view camera, media and commercial portraiture. Polvere teaches both introductory and advanced photography classes at NWC and specializes in color photography and commercial portraiture.
Treviño earned her bachelor’s in journalism and theater from the University of Iowa, as well as her master’s in photography from Columbia College Chicago. As an instructor of photography at Northwest College, she offers expertise in food and product photography, as well as digital imaging and view camera. Treviño teaches both introductory and advanced photography classes and specializes in studio illustration and food photography.
As an alumna of NWC, Johnson earned her associate degree in photography. She offers expertise in technical support for all areas of analog and digital photography including image processing, electronic and analog image capture, as well as electronic and hard copy output.
