POWELL, Wyo. ─ Northwest College alumni are invited to an alumni brew tasting event Saturday, Aug. 15, from 2-6 p.m. in conjunction with the Plaza Arts Fair at Plaza Diane in downtown Powell.
Northwest alumni will receive six free brew tasting tickets and enjoy music, art, the Wings ’N’ Wheels Show and other activities.
Tickets for free tastings will be honored until 8 p.m. Alumni must share their cell phone numbers and email addresses in order to collect their tickets.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to give $10 to the NWC Foundation through its new Give by Cell program, according to NWC Foundation Development Coordinator Andrea Shipley.
“It’s our goal to make giving as convenient as possible,” Shipley said. “Utilizing a text-to-give opportunity at this event will allow people to act immediately to help students.”
All proceeds from the evening will benefit the NWC Alumni Association Scholarship. The scholarship supports two traditional-aged students and two nontraditional-aged students per semester based on academic and other criteria as well as if a parent or grandparent has attended NWC.
