Your future, our focus
POWELL, Wyo. - Northwest College’s International Club and Diversity Awareness Committee invite the community to join them Monday, April 16, from 7-9 p.m. for another evening of culture and fun at Brazilian Night in the DeWitt Student Center on the NWC Campus.
Envision an evening in the fifth largest country in the world, where the northern climate has wet and dry seasons, and the southern zone experiences spring, summer, fall and winter; where natural wonders include the Amazon rainforest, the tropical and subtropical coastal Atlantic Forest, the wetland expanse of the Pantanal floodplains, and impressive waterfalls of all sizes and shapes. Picture a setting famous for its football (soccer), beaches, and the biggest party in the world—the annual Carnival in Rio de Janeiro. Then settle back as students introduce an overview of their Brazilian culture through an evening of images, traditional dress, cuisine, music and samba.
The evening concludes with a sample of the country’s traditional food. There will be time for questions and answers.
Admission to this program is free and open to the public.
