POWELL, Wyo. - Nationally acclaimed photographer Salvatore Vasapolli will talk about “High Perspective Photographic Art” in a 7 p.m. program Friday, March 2, at Northwest College.
The presentation, held in Room 70 of the Fagerberg Building, is open to the public.
Vasapolli’s work has graced the cover and pages of notable publications like the iconoclastic National Geographic, but also major magazines such as Outside, Backpacker, Audubon, Architectural Digest, Forbes, Sunset Magazine, American Heritage, Conde Nast Traveler, Adventure West, Freeze, Food & Wine, National Geographic Traveler, Historic Traveler, National Parks, Natural History, Outdoor Photographer, and The New York Times.
His four tabletop photo books include a double-award-winning volume titled “Montana,” with text provided by former U.S. Rep. Pat Williams from Montana.
Vasapolli’s art has been published by MacMillan, Random House and Simon & Schuster, and his advertising images have garnered seven ADDYs, considered the highest award given in the advertising industry.
His renowned calendar images are in demand by Audubon, Browntrout, Greenpeace, Hallmark, National Geographic, Nature Conservancy, National Wildlife Federation and Sierra, to name just a few.
Vasapolli also shares his talent for capturing dynamic art images in workshops across the country, from Death Valley National Park in California to the Paterson Great Falls Historical District in New Jersey.
He produces photographic still images for a plethora of clients, and his artworks hang in many private collections and corporate offices from New York to California.
