POWELL, Wyo. - Microsoft's PowerPoint 2007 has become the industry standard for creating visual presentations, and Worland-area residents can learn how to master it in a three-night class at the Northwest College Worland Center for Training and Development.
Jody Rakness, a computer instructor in the Worland schools, will teach "PowerPoint 2007" from 7-9 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, March 30, 31 and April 2.
Students will learn to use charts, diagrams, and tables and how to personalize and change slide designs. Rakness will cover the steps in adding sounds and narrations, plus inserting movies and using animation. By the end of the class, students will be able to create a "library" of slides, add footers and headers and distribute the presentation to CD.
The class is self-paced and encourages individuals to apply real-world scenarios to their projects.
Cost is $44 per person. Because the class will be canceled if sufficient enrollment isn't met, preregistration is recommended.
