P O W E L L, W y o. - The Northwest College Center for Training and Development in Powell will offer a one-day PowerPoint Workshop from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday, March 30.
PowerPoint is becoming the essential presentation tool for all ages - from elementary school children to corporate executives, according to Stacy Gilman, program specialist at the Powell Center for Training and Development.
"This is a great way to learn PowerPoint," Gilman said. "Instead of giving up two or more evenings, busy working people can just schedule one day to get a solid hands-on foundation for using this increasingly popular software application. Plus they leave with a comprehensive manual to refer to anytime they have questions about the program."
Instructor Amy Lamm said the class is formatted so each participant sits at a computer to work through real-life type projects as they learn the fundamentals of PowerPoint design. They'll learn to build presentations, format slides, utilize the draw tools and work with graphics.
Cost is $60 per person, which includes a comprehensive manual.
To register or for more information, e-mail Stacy Gilman or call (307) 754-6062.
