POWELL, Wyoming — And then there were nine. According to recent national polls, only nine GOP presidential candidates will be eligible to participate in the next debate held at the University of Colorado in Boulder. The Northwest College Forensics Team invites the public to view them all on a large screen and then participate in an open-forum discussion afterward.
The showdown gets underway at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, in the Fagerberg Building, Room 70.
Based only on recent NBC News/Wall Street Journal polling, nine Republicans would make the main debate stage: Donald Trump, Ben Carson, Marco Rubio, Carly Fiorina, Jeb Bush, John Kasich, Ted Cruz, Rand Paul and Chris Christie.
Handouts introducing the candidates will be provided before the debate begins. Anyone who's interested is invited to watch and contribute or just listen to the analysis of the candidates' rhetorical and political strengths and weaknesses.
