Donations continue to roll into the Northwest College Foundation to help the students displaced by the March 30 fire in Bridger Hall.

The total of gifts receipted into the Bridger Hall Fire Fund by the end of the semester, Friday, May 7, was $47,699.19, allowing the foundation to give each of the 100 Bridger Hall students another $200 in cash on Thursday, May 6, the day before most of them left campus.

This end-of-semester distribution brings the total received by each Bridger Hall student to more than $600 in cash and coupons.

The last major injection of cash into the fire fund came from the Bridger Hall Garage Sale sponsored by NWC employees on April 30 and May 1, which netted $3,161.44.

Initially, it was assumed the May 6 payment to students would be the last, but because donations are still being received, the NWC Foundation is now considering how to handle post-May 6 contributions.

Those who would like to contribute are asked to indicate on their checks that the money should be earmarked for the "Students' Fire Fund." Donations can be sent to the Northwest College Foundation, 231 West 6th St., Powell, WY 82435, or dropped off at the Foundation Office in Room 104 of the Orendorff Building.

Those who prefer to use a credit card, can donate online or by calling 1-800-498-3914.
