College rodeo teams from across the Big Sky Region will be in Cody Friday and Saturday, Sept. 7 and 8, to compete at Northwest College’s Trapper Stampede. The annual rodeo kicks off the season for the NWC team.
Action gets underway at 7 p.m. both nights at the Cody Stampede Rodeo arena with bareback riding, barrel racing, breakaway roping, bull riding, calf roping, goat tying, saddle bronc, steer wrestling and team roping.
This year’s rodeo is dedicated to Kolten Moss of Laramie, an NWC student and Trapper Rodeo Team member, who died in an automobile accident in May.
General admission is $10, and students with college IDs are free.
