The NOLS Exploration Film Tour is coming to Northwest College Wednesday, April 25. The event gets underway at 6:30 p.m. in the Fagerberg Building, Room 70.
Rooted in the spirit of adventure, NOLS (National Outdoor Leadership School) is a nonprofit global wilderness school committed to helping students discover their full potential and become leaders.
A few of the titles that will be featured throughout the evening include “Denali’s Raven,” “Brothers of Climbing,” “A Letter to Congress,” “Being Hear,” “Nature of Maps” and “Equal Footing.” The series highlights topics such as diversity in the outdoors, backcountry safety, environmental conservation and the value of wilderness.
“Through these films, we hope to highlight the amazing places we can find in this world and inspire others to pursue their own dreams, whether they’re exploring their own backyard, seeking remote summits or paddling the great blue sea,” NOLS announced in their Exploration Film Tour trailer.
This event is co-sponsored by Northwest College Intercultural Programs and the Outdoor Program. Admission is free and open to the public.
