Your future, our focus
Montana State University Billings leadership visited with Northwest College faculty, staff and administrative leaders last week. The purpose was to discuss natural pathways to and from each higher education institution.
“We’re excited about the possibility of future collaborations with MSU Billings,” NWC President Stefani Hicswa said. “Finding the best opportunities to help prepare our students for their future is what we’re about.”
Less than two hours away, MSU Billings is the closest four-year institution to Powell and other nearby communities in the Big Horn Basin. It is a solid and attractive option for northwest Wyoming residents who might find it difficult to relocate to earn their bachelor’s or master’s degrees six hours away and farther. MSU Billings features a number of accredited programs and degree offerings which are affiliated with over 13 distinct accreditation organizations, including the College of Business, College of Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, several College of Allied Health programs as well as Departments of Art and Music.
Northwest College’s flagship programs include Nursing and Allied Health, Agriculture, Business, Criminal Justice, Education, Photographic Communications, Pre-Professional Sciences (Pre-Occupational Therapy, Pre-Optometry, Pre-Pharmacy, Pre-Physical Therapy) and many more additional programs that Montana students can get started with, right across the state border.
“We look forward to growing our partnership with Northwest College and bridging the gap between our students’ needs,” said MSU Billings Chancellor Dan Edelman. “Providing our students with additional and unique opportunities will set them up for a greater level of success.”
