POWELL, Wyo. - If visions of balmy skies and luscious green rainforests in March sounds like an impossible dream, Northwest College invites you to a Monday, Oct. 10, meeting to explore a coast-to-coast Costa Rica trip in March.
The Student Activities Office will offer a nine-day travel experience in Costa Rica beginning March 8. Specifics about itinerary and costs will be presented at 7 p.m. in Room 70 of the Fagerberg Lecture Hall.
Participants in the Costa Rica excursion will travel from coast to coast across the Latin American country via waterways and roadways to visit a banana plantation, explore Tortuguero National Park (famous for its rare turtle breeding ground), relax at the beach, kayak along Lake Arenal, admire La Fortuna Waterfall and visit Rincon de la Vieja National Park.
Other optional activities include a tour of the Sarapiqui Canopy and white water rafting.
The group will be in the hands of an experienced bilingual tour guide during the entire tour.
This travel opportunity, which carries no college credit, is offered through EF College Study Tours.
The total price of $2,467 includes all transportation costs, hotel, meals and admission charges. Participants pay only for their own souvenirs, plus gratuities and breakfast on the day of departure and dinner on the day of return.
