P O W E L L, W y o. - The Northwest College Center for Training and Development in Worland is launching a "Business and Breakfast" series at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16, with a free presentation by Chris Turner, developer and host of "Comfort Food Radio," Wyoming's only live comedy and music variety show.

Turner will talk about how to "Make Your News Everybody's News," explaining how and who to contact in radio, television and newspaper "to get your news, event or product across."

There's no charge to attend the 8-9 a.m. program, which includes a continental breakfast.

The free one-hour Business and Breakfast series is sponsored the third Tuesday of each month to give hectic business owners an opportunity to pick up some business savvy before heading to the workplace. Sponsors are the NWC Worland Center for Training and Development and the Washakie Development Association.

And for those individuals who aren't in business for themselves yet but would like to try it, a "Start Your Own Business" seminar is scheduled at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, also in the NWC Worland Center for Training and Development.

The two-hour presentation looks at business planning, advertising and marketing, research and resources, and where to go for funding. Cost is $10 per person.

It is sponsored by the NWC Center for Training and Development and the Wyoming Small Business Development Center, which is a partnership program funded by the U.S. Small Business Administration, the Wyoming Business Council, and the University of Wyoming.
