POWELL, Wyo. - Area business owners can get hands-on practice setting up a social media business strategy for their business at an all-day social media workshop Friday, Oct. 19, in Cody.
The main and most important goals of the workshop are to help business owners increase exposure, brand awareness and web traffic to generate more high quality leads and conversions. Helping put small businesses on the same playing field with larger organizations is also part of the strategy.
For small businesses, an effective social media strategy can make the game-winning difference, but the key word is “effective.”
In this “Social Media: Creating a Business Strategy” workshop, business owners will focus on effective strategies using Facebook and Twitter but will also be introduced to other social media tools. Computers will be available for use during class, but participants are invited to bring their own mobile devices (smart phones, iPads) as well.
The workshop runs from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. in the Park County Complex Building at 1501 Stampede Ave. Cost is $59 and includes lunch. It’s sponsored by the Northwest College Cody Center for Training and Development.
