POWELL, Wyo. - Four insurance continuing-education classes are being offered Thursday, July 15, by Northwest College’s Center for Training and Development (CTD) and Education in Pursuit LLC.
Classes run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at NWC’s CTD on the college’s West Campus in Powell.
Classes are taught by John Putnam, a Colorado insurance professional with 40 years’ experience in a wide variety of property-casualty insurance disciplines, including adjusting, agency and risk management. Putnam specializes in workers compensation, commercial general liability and risk management issues.
The first session, Applied Insurance Agent Ethics, provides three hours of credit at a cost of $45 per person. The three-hour-long class begins at 8 a.m.
At 11 a.m., a one-credit class, Certificates of Insurance, closes the morning session. The cost is $20.
Classes resume at 1 p.m. with a two-hour session on Applied Personal Lines Risk Management Topics, which is offered for two hours of credit. The cost is $30.
Putnam’s last session, The Marketplace for Business Owners Policies, provides two hours of credit. It’s from 3-5 p.m. and carries a $30 fee.
Interested participants can reserve a seat for all four classes for a reduced rate of $115.
The Wyoming Division of Insurance allows continuing-education credit in both property/casualty and life/health, regardless of the type of license an agent holds. In addition, Wyoming has no limit on the number of ethics credit hours.
