POWELL, Wyo. - In Powell, it's not sleigh bells that herald the start of the holiday season-it's trombones. The annual Trombone Christmas Concert sounds off Yuletide Tuesday, Dec. 1, in the Hinckley Library Amphitheater on the Northwest College campus. The brass brigade gets going at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free. Add this event to your calendar.
DETAILS:
- Traditional Christmas music will be performed, along with other selections. Highlights include "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing," "Away in a Manger," "A Holly, Jolly Christmas," "Salvation is Created," and "I've Been Working on the Trombone."
- Features the combined Northwest College Trombones and the Big Horn Trombone Ensemble, assisted by several high school students from the area.Smaller ensembles will also perform.
- Groups are under the direction of Rick Parmer, low brass instructor at Northwest College.
