P O W E L L, W y o. - Bruce Morse, region 2 director for the Wyoming Small Business Development Center, will talk about credit scores Tuesday, Nov. 27, at the 8 a.m. Business and Breakfast program sponsored monthly at the Northwest College Center for Training and Development in Powell.
Morse will discuss what's on a credit report, how a lender looks at the report, how it impacts a credit score, and how a credit score can be improved. He'll also show how to access and fix credit reports, if needed.
Participants will have the option of hands-on computer time during the presentation to review their reports online, if they wish. Those people should be prepared to bring their social security number and a previous address if they've lived at their current address for less than one year. Those who would like to also get their credit score will need to pay a fee and should have credit card information ready.
There's no charge to attend the 8-9 a.m. program, which includes a continental breakfast.
The free one-hour Business and Breakfast series is held the last Tuesday of each month. Sponsors are the NWC Center for Training and Development, Powell Valley Chamber of Commerce, Wyoming Small Business Development Center, U.S. Small Business Administration, Wyoming Business Council and the University of Wyoming.
