POWELL, Wyoming — Worland-area business owners can maintain the leading edge through short classes offered this fall from the Northwest College Worland Center for Training and Development.
The September lineup includes “Social Media for your Business” and “QuickBooks 2015.”
The social media class meets at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, to help participants identify and clarify their target audiences and become familiar with Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and Yelp.
Instructor Kaitlyn Miller reinforces the information presented with hands-on exercises. She’ll help business owners feel confident enough to join the 94 percent of small-to-medium-sized businesses already leveraging social media for marketing. This class costs $18.
Certified Public Accountant KayLynn Dalebout will give Quickbooks a comprehensive study from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday and Thursdays, Sept. 8-17.
Her goal is to take the frustration out of working with the leading bookkeeping software program. She’ll help students understand accounting, get their company started, and feel confident about entering everyday transactions, including everything from invoices to online banking. She also offers useful tips and tricks and discusses how to handle special transactions and work with reports. The $139 cost includes a manual.
