The Johnson Fitness Center’s Fitness Friday series continues with a talk by physical therapy assistant, certified personal trainer and powerlifting instructor Lucas Krubeck of Advantage Rehab in Cody. Free and open to the public, the event gets underway Friday, March 29, at 3 p.m. in the JFC on the Northwest College campus.
During his talk, Krubeck will discuss the basics of powerlifting, bodybuilding, proper technique and how to avoid common weightlifting injuries.
“If you’re just getting started in the weight room, or if you want to get more out of your workout, this will be a great event to come learn the fundamentals,” said Johnson Fitness Center Coordinator Haley Sorenson.
Previously a five-sport athlete, and currently a competitive bodybuilder and powerlifter, Krubeck works to help patients restore function and train safely.
Refreshments will be available for those who attend.
Future Fitness Fridays will alternate between exercise classes and presentations by area professionals including information about weight loss, proper exercise technique and form, terminology, designing workout programs and more.
