POWELL, Wyo. - Lunch and Learn programs premiere Feb. 17 and 19 in Cody and Powell, with presentations on "Social Media as a Marketing Tool for Business."
Micah Humphreys, an assistant professor of agroecology and range management at Northwest College and avid user of the Internet and its resources, will start the conversation about social media and the implications it has for small business.
Humphreys will introduce some of the more popular social media sites to help business owners start exploring the ways their customers are connecting via the Internet and what they're saying about them, their products and services. The talk will be framed with social media as an opportunity rather than a threat to local business. Social media marketing is proving to be a viable alternative when traditional advertising methods falter, and especially as marketing budgets continue to shrink.
The one-hour program gets underway in both communities at noon, with networking opportunities starting at 11:45 a.m. The Cody session meets Tuesday, Feb. 17, in Room 2206 of the NWC Cody Center, located in the Park County Complex. In Powell, the group convenes Thursday, Feb. 19, in the Center for Training and Development on the Northwest College West Campus.
Admission is $5 per person and includes lunch. Reservations must be made by the day prior to the event. Click here to reserve a seat in Powell, or call (307) 754-6062 or toll-free (800) 560-4692, ext. 6062. Click here to reserve a spot for the Cody program, or call (307) 587-3506.
