POWELL, Wyo. - To help local businesses gear up for the summer season, the Northwest College Cody Center for Training and Development will conduct a three-hour customer service training twice on Tuesday, May 21.
Kathy Crookshanks said her “Customer Service — More than Essential” sessions will discuss ways of identifying the needs of the customer and how to build customer loyalty.
“Customers pay attention to what they hear about your business from friends and now on social media,” Crookshanks said. “An employee who is trained in customer service can result in greater sales, a higher degree of brand loyalty and more repeat customers.”
She said the main reason customers no longer do business with an organization “revolves around how they felt they were treated or valued. According to Bain and Co., 68 percent of customer defection is because the customer doesn’t feel valued or senses an attitude of indifference. But a 5 percent increase in customer retention can have a bottom-line profit increase of 75 percent, depending on the industry.”
Crookshanks will teach identical customer service trainings at 8:30 a.m. and again at 1 p.m. at the NWC Cody Center for Training and Development in the Park County Complex.
Cost is $14 per person.
