POWELL, Wyoming — The Big Horn Basin community is invited to welcome spring and have a good time at a Native American round dance starting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 28, outside the Intercultural House at Northwest College in Powell.
The Crow Song Dogs (formerly known as Black Whistle) is the host drum.
The American Indian round dance is a friendship dance that has long been held as a courting activity. It is performed during powwows and many social occasions. Its infectious, upbeat tempo is inviting to young and old alike, resulting in a simple, fun activity.
NWC Intercultural Programs invites all to join them in this end-of-semester event to celebrate NWC’s 2016 graduates.
