POWELL, Wyo. - Powell-area residents are invited to participate in a variety of safety activities from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 30, in the lounge of the DeWitt Student Center at Northwest College.
The event includes a drunk-driving simulator and goggles, $10,000 ride home presentation, Wet Lab video and call-your-own-shots alcohol information.
Certified child passenger safety technicians will be on hand to answer parents’ questions and explain the stages of car seats, complete with demonstration dolls for each seat.
Representatives from the Wyoming Highway Patrol, Park County Sheriff’s Office, Powell and Cody Police Departments, Park County Safe Kids, and Injury Prevention Resources will contribute to the six-hour, hands-on event.
Admission and participation in all the activities are free.
