P O W E L L, W y o. - Improving customer service and finding resources for small businesses are just a few of the workshop topics presented in early March at the Northwest College Cody Center for Training and Development.
The month starts off with Customer Service - Stand Out Stand Up Service, a luncheon workshop that meets from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Thursday, March 1.
"Customer Service has become a phrase so commonly used that most people no longer think about its true meaning," workshop leader Danel LaRose said. An employee training and development consultant, LaRose will focus her program on prevailing attitudes about customer service compared to the real meaning of outstanding customer service. She'll show business owners how to look critically into their organization to see what kind of customer relations they're developing and discuss ways to apply that knowledge to make customer service an area where they can stand out from competitors.
LaRose worked three years in the hospitality industry before becoming an employee development administrator for the world's largest hotel representation service. She's developed and taught more than 20 different employee and management classes and is CEO of LaRose, LLC and LaRose Business Works.
Cost for the two-hour Customer Service - Stand Out Stand Up Service workshop is $25 and includes lunch.
The second program in the four-part Building a Better Business series starts at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, March 8. A Small Business Administration representative will talk about the myriad opportunities and resources available to area individuals and businesses who want to launch or grow a business. The hour-and-a-half program costs $25 and includes lunch. It is co-sponsored by the Wyoming Small Business Development Center.
Both workshops are held at the Northwest College Cody Center for Training and Development located in the Park County Complex at 1501 Stampede Ave.
