POWELL, Wyo. - "Rain: What a Paperboy Learned About Business" will drive the Executive Book Club discussion in March.
A limited number of the books are available for purchase at the college bookstore. Written by Jeffrey J. Fox, the collection of parables offers 40 rainmaker lessons that apply to business and sales people, as well as paperboys.
Rick LaPlante, a retired executive of Microsoft Corp. and avid reader of business and leadership texts, will facilitate the discussion Thursday, March 11, at 6:30 p.m. in the Northwest College Center for Training and Development.
The book club meets every six weeks and is open to anyone who's interested, especially Big Horn Basin business, education and agricultural leaders. Discussions center around core ideas presented in some of today's most well known and often read business and leadership texts. Time is also reserved for discussion of agreement and disagreement with the author's ideas and application of the ideas presented in real-world situations in the Big Horn Basin.
