Former U.S. Sen. Alan Simpson shows his Screen Actors Guild card to Northwest College students at a Thursday, Sept. 17, pizza party celebrating the completion of the addition to the residence hall bearing his name. NWC students Ryan McLaren of Los Angeles, Calif. (left), and Mark Keierleber of Newcastle, Wyo., were regaled by Simpson's stories about his movie acting experience, limited as it was. NWC nearly doubled the occupancy available in Simpson Hall with the addition that was finished just in the nick of time to accommodate this year's steep enrollment increase. The construction, funded by $5.3 in revenue bonds, added 76 suite-style rooms to the hall and came in under budget.
Former U.S. Sen. Alan Simpson and his wife, Ann, talked to Northwest College students, friends and employees during a pizza party. Simpson told the crowd that Northwest College now has the same enrollment the University of Wyoming did when he and Ann were enrolled there.
