P O W E L L, W y o. - "Advertising in Today's Uncertain Business Climate" is the topic of Women's Business Roundtables Tuesday, Nov. 18, in Cody and Thursday, Nov. 20, in Powell.
Melinda Frazier, an advertising executive with Champions Publishing/Ultimate Press, will be the guest speaker at both sessions. Her program is geared to both new business owners who need advertising assistance and established businesses wanting to update their advertising campaigns.
She'll talk about how to create an advertising plan, determine the best media for the message and the right budget, what to say, how to write ad copy, and more. Her presentation is given in the context of today's uncertain business climate when business owners tend to be more cautious with their advertising budgets.
Prior to working for Ultimate Press, a publisher of travel information for visitors to Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho, Frazier worked in advertising sales for the Wyoming Business Report, concentrating on the western half of the state. Originally from Chicago, she is a small business owner herself, facing her own advertising dilemmas in an uncertain market.
The one-hour program gets underway in both communities at noon, with networking opportunities starting at 11:45 a.m. The Powell session will meet in the Center for Training and Development on the Northwest College West Campus. In Cody, the group convenes in Room 2221 of the NWC Cody Center, located in the Park County Complex.
Admission is free and includes lunch.
