POWELL, Wyo. - High school seniors who'd like to try out for soccer scholarships at Northwest College in Powell are invited to put their best foot forward at Sunday, April 11, tryouts.
Candidates for the Trapper Women's Soccer Team can showcase their talent in small-sided games from 10:30 a.m.-noon on the West Campus field. The same process for the Men's Soccer Team will be held from 1-2:30 p.m.
"We're interested in seeing players' technical skills, tactical awareness and athleticism," Coach Rob Hill said. "We'll also have separate goalkeeper training sessions. We've already heard from students as far away as Idaho who are planning to come."
Hill advises players to bring both their cleats and indoor gear, in case the weather prohibits outdoor sessions.
Campus tours are also built into tryout day.
