POWELL, Wyoming —Big Horn Basin high school soccer players are invited to vie for a spot on the Northwest College Soccer Teams at an open tryout Saturday, Feb. 27, on the Trapper practice field.
Ninety-minute tryout sessions are scheduled at 9 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. for the Trapper Men’s Team and at 10:45 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. for the Women’s team.
Athletes need to bring indoor and outdoor clothing, a water bottle and proof of a current physical.
Rob Hill, originally from England, coaches NWC’s soccer teams. He was named the NJCAA Region IX Coach of the Year in 2010 and Co-Coach in 2011; those same years his teams were Region IX Runner-ups and Region IX Champions.
His Trappers have successfully transferred to soccer programs at four-year schools across the country, including to larger programs like Texas Tech University and Arkansas State University
After the Saturday tryouts, a campus tour will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. for those high school players who are interested.
