Youth from around Park County will have the opportunity to train and learn during the joint basketball camp between Northwest College and Powell High School next week.
The camp kicks off Monday at 9 a.m. at PHS and will continue through Thursday.
It will consist of two sessions each day lasting three hours each, with a one-hour lunch break in between, except for the final day, which concludes at noon.
The morning session will focus primarily on drills and skills while the afternoon will consist of competitions.
NWC Men’s Basketball Coach Jay Collins said that anybody from fourth grade through senior year in the area are invited to the camp.
“We are hoping to get a lot of community members out there,” Collins said.
The entry fee of $170 for the four days will include a T-shirt, in addition to the 21 hours of instruction and competition.
Collins said more than 60 kids have already signed up for the camp, and additional registration will be held prior to the camp beginning on Monday.
All funds from the camp will be split between the Panther boys’ program and the Northwest men’s program.
