NWC men receive NJCAA votes

NWC Lingers Just Outside Top 20

The Northwest College Trappers continue to lurk just outside the NJCAA top 20 men’s basketball rankings according to the latest vote by the national organization. Northwest College received 10 votes, down seven from the team’s pre-winter recess total.

That left the Trappers as one of 32 unranked teams to receive votes in the latest poll. Western Wyoming, ranked ninth this week, remains the only Region IX team to appear in the top 20. Otero and Sheridan, like the Trappers, are listed among the others receiving votes.

On the women’s side, the Trappers did not gain mention in the polls. The only Region IX team listed is Casper College, which appears at No. 6 this week. The T-Birds pull into Powell this Saturday for a women’s and men’s doubleheader beginning at 3 p.m. at Hank Cabre Gym.
