POWELL, Wyo. - Northwest College Trapper basketball action against the Casper College Thunderbirds makes for a full day of home court excitement Saturday, Jan. 14. Fans are invited to share in some spirit-building fun at a mid-afternoon tailgate event marking the first home games of 2012.
The Lady Trappers will face the Casper Lady T-Birds for the first time this season with a 3 p.m. tipoff in Cabre Gym. Joining NWC alum and head coach Janis Beal courtside is assistant women’s basketball coach Steve Coleman.
The Trapper Booster Club hosts a tailgate party from 2:15-3 p.m. and will sell soft pretzels and a drink for $2.
Head coach Andy Ward promises the crowd lots of excitement when the Trapper men and Casper T-Birds hit the hardwood at 5 p.m.
Fans can watch all the Trapper Basketball home games on a live stream or on NWC-TV on Optimum channel 21 in Powell and 17 in Cody, and TCT West channel 850 in Meeteetse and Big Horn and Washakie counties.
Admission to the game is $3 for adults, $2 for students, and free to senior citizens, NWC students with an ID card, and children under 12 accompanied by an adult.
