This 18-month hybrid course will help surgical technologists learn the general functions in and around the operating room
Surgical technologists will learn to prepare operating rooms for surgery; sterilize and supply equipment; prepare patients for surgery; help surgeons and nurses during surgery by passing them instruments and other sterile supplies.
Students will also learn non-sterile procedures such as endoscopy.
Upon completion of this program, a student will be eligible to sit for the Tech in Surgery (TS-C) exam. This exam is through NCCT (National Center for Competency Testing).
Prerequisites: American Heart Association Basic Life Support and a High School Diploma
Students will need to be up to date on their immunizations prior to clinical. There is a $255 fee that must be paid the first day of class for your background check and a drug screening. (This fee is not included in the price of the class)
Lab Dates: Fridays 1:30-3:30
Clinicals: TBD
Cost is $2,850.00
Required manuals and supplies will be provided and are included in the cost of the course.
Class start date 1/20/2025 - Deadline to register is January 10th! - January 20th will be set-up day, then all labs will be on Fridays
