To conclude the Northwest College celebration of Women's History Month, Hunter Old Elk will talk about the role of women in Plains Indian culture. In her presentation, Hunter Old Elk will use ethnography, oral traditions, and scholarship to understand gendered roles in Plains Indian cultures.
Hunter Old Elk (Crow/Yakama) grew up on the Crow Indian Reservation in Southeastern Montana. She earned her bachelor's degree in history at Mount St. Maryês University. Currently, she works for the Plains Indian Museum at the Buffalo Bill Center of the West.
