Northwest College

Learn about Turkmen culture through art and observe the similarities between this central Asian country and the United States. From the Southwest deserts, the herding culture of the American cowboy, the nomadic and tribal cultures of our indigenous peoples, you’ll feel right at home in this exploration of Turkmenistan. Who knew two counties so far apart could have so many parallels in their topography, history, and culture?

This event is free and open to the public and a lunch will be provided.

The U.S. Department of State sponsors the EducationUSA program, which is a network of over 425 international student advising centers in 178 different countries. The program promotes U.S. higher education and provides services to assist international students in the application process for postsecondary institutions in the United States. In August, Northwest College had the honor of hosting four EducationUSA Advisors, in a joint effort with the University of Wyoming, to help promote our state and institutions worldwide.
