Maslenitsa is a Russian holiday that celebrates the end of winter and the coming of spring. Traditionally, the festivities last for the seven days before the first day of the Russian Orthodox Church’s Great Lent.
Join our Russian students as they welcome spring on March 13th in the Intercultural House. They will present about the tradition, demonstrate how to make blini (traditional “pancakes” eaten during this festival), and play traditional games.
This event is free and open to the public.
