The Northwest College Art Club is hosting two French cuisine-inspired fundraisers Saturday, Feb. 16, for their upcoming field studies trip to France, the Netherlands and Belgium in May 2019.
The first event, a family-friendly lunch at Gestalt Studios, takes place from noon-3 p.m. The afternoon menu will feature
Later that evening in Gestalt Studios, the Art Club will host a French café-inspired dinner from 6-10 p.m. Classic French dishes will be on the menu including boeuf bourguignon (beef stew), coq au vin (chicken in wine sauce) and ratatouille (vegetable casserole). Appetizers, sides
Guests will also have the option to choose from a selection of cocktails, French wines and Belgian beers that will be available throughout the evening, plus French lemonade and French coffees. Attendees can enjoy music by Matt Kousoulous and a “French market” with small artworks, crafts, spa items and baked goods for sale.
Guests can also enter a raffle to win prizes such as a one-night stay at the High Country Motel in Cooke City, a gift certificate to Chico Hot Springs and gift certificates to local businesses such as Gestalt Studios, Lavender Rose, Juniper, The Local and others. Cost for dinner is $50 per person or $30 for students with a Northwest College ID.
All proceeds from the events will go toward the cost of the 17-day trip for each traditional-aged student. To prepare, students are studying the art, history
