Moving Walls, a new documentary by Sharon Yamato, explores the ongoing story of the barracks originally built to house some 14,000 Japanese Americans at the Heart Mountain concentration camp during World War II. After the war ended, the government sold the barracks to homesteaders, many of whom still live and work in these buildings today.
Following the film, filmmaker Sharon Yamato of Los Angeles and photographer Stan Honda of New York City will moderate a panel discussion with former Heart Mountain incarcerees and homesteaders.
Join them Friday, Sept. 29, at 6:30 p.m. in Fagerberg 70 to learn more about our region's history.
